LoadHog Binder Series (LHB)

Installation Instructions

LoadHog Binder Instructions

  1. Place the Binder inside the railing or in the pockets of your flatbed trailer, opposite from each other, and remove both bolts from the binder.

  2. Place your dunnage beside the binders. The reason for doing this is to measure and mark your dunnage to where you have approximately ¾ of an inch of play after cutting the end off. According to the width of your trailer, we have estimated about inches should be cut off one end of your dunnage. Again, this should leave you with a length that should allow about ¾ of an inch of space on each end, when placed in the binders.

  3. After cutting your dunnage, place it into each end of the binders. Make sure there is an equal amount of spacing.

  4. With a black marker, mark the center of the holes to be drilled on either side of the wood.

  5. Also make a mark on the top of the wood. You will be flipping the dunnage several times during the drilling process. This will ensure the holes you drill will line up with your original marks.

  6. Take the wood out of the binders and with a 9/16 or 5/8 paddle drill bit, begin drilling your holes.

  1. We recommend using a paddle drill bit because a regular wood drill bit tends to move around before biting in the wood.

  2. ***MAKE SURE*** you only drill halfway through the wood on one side, then flip it over and drill halfway through on the other, meeting the 2 holes in the middle. This will ensure a more accurate pass-through for the bolt to line up with the openings on either side of the wood.

  1. After drilling the holes, place the dunnage back into the binders, with the top mark facing up, push your bolts through. Now place the washer, lock washer and lock nut onto the bolts. Tighten the nuts until the lock washer is firmly engaged.

  2. Repeat these steps on the other side.

  3. Watch instructional video for easy installment and how to engage and disengage binder.
